At Harness, we are constantly pushing the boundaries and breaking barriers. As we continue on our journey to enable 27 million software developers to deliver code quickly, we also inspire each other everyday. Hear more about life at Harness from December's Canary Award winners, Sony Priyadarshini & Tathagat Chaurasiya.
I have been at Harness for nearly 2 years. When I started, I was part of the Continuous Delivery Core Quality Team, then moved to the Pipelines team, and now I’m back on the Continuous Delivery Core and Platform team as a Staff Software Development Engineer in Test.
I love being a part of the Quality team and being able to get products to customers bugfree. This is also what encourages me. I also love the culture we have built. The team is passionate and dedicated to the quality of the product, which motivates me to work harder.
I would say Build Trust. I have never worked for an organization that has shown so much transparency throughout the company. Harness makes a conscious effort to make all of us aware of our hits and misses. Across career levels and teams, most of us are very comfortable sharing our views with leadership, which makes it an extremely collaborative space and encourages us to grow and give our best.
When I was on the Pipelines team, we were trying to build a culture where responsibility was on everyone's shoulders, not just the Quality Engineering team. Prior to releasing our product, we were able to achieve 90% automation coverage and caught almost over 100 bugs. This was a huge success and I am glad we were able to build such culture across our teams!
First, I would want to keep the superpower forever. And two, I would like to be able to read people’s minds. As I transition to a leadership role, it would be great to know what is going on in everyone's minds!
I joined in June 2020. It’s been a year and a half rollercoaster journey. I am on the Continuous Delivery Platform team and I manage Kubernetes, Helm deployment swimlanes, along with Infrastructure Provisioners like Terraform and Terragrunt.
The best part I find is that we get real insight of the problems the industry is facing in the Continuous Delivery domain. It's a real challenge and also fun to design and build up-to-date solutions! Another thing I feel great about is the people I am surrounded by. I’ve learned a lot and am amazed by how we approach problem-solving as a team.
The value I resonate with most is Remember the Human. It’s been an amazing experience working with such a diverse team. Even though we are in different geographies and timezones, if you ever get stuck, there is always a savior.
I am a very good cook!
My favorite memory at Harness would be the Jaipur offsite! I got to know folks beyond their work. We had a lot of fun!
I would want to be able to see the future!
I would suggest being persistent. Being persistent really gets compounded as a result. Also, always be curious. Put your ideas on the seat even if they are completely naive. You will always get others' feedback to correct and improve yourself.
